MLA Format:


MLA format, is the structure of the typed paper, created by the Modern Language Association. For the essay(s) MLA format involves:

Headings
Page Numbers
Margins
Spacing
Font size
Parenthetical Citations

MLA Style:

1) Four-line heading on left:
Student Name
Mrs.Gamble
English 12
Date

2) Last Name and page # on the top right: Ex. Jones 1

3) Double spaced; Font size 12, Font style Arial or Times New Roman

4) Margins 1" or 1.25" on all sides


5)The basic example of a parenthetical citation is (author's last name page number) Ex. (Smith 352)
